Kisi (Qvevri)
Kisi is one of the most popular white grape varieties today, though it was abandoned in the previous century. Our winemaker was one of the first to revive this grape variety, continuing to craft exceptional wines from it. Kisi vineyards are located in Gulgula, Kakheti. Wine was fermented in Qvevri and matured with full skin contact for two months and then wine getting aged in Qvevri for six month. This amber-coloured wine is rich with intriguing aromas of white cherry jam, fig, apricot jam, dried leaves, and smoke. The wine has an energetic character, with fresh acidity and tannins that add complexity. The enjoyable finish repeats the aromas in a beautifully layered manner.
